Bill's "Down Roads...Less Traveled"
Landscape DVD is now available for purchase. It includes
"Old
Masters" techniques using transparent/opaque color, how
value affects depth and form, using color mixing, drawing,
brush handling, the use of a basic palette for beginners and
how to paint a color chart that will be useful in your
landscape painting. Over the last 15 years Bill has
developed a style of his own using many of the skills he has

Bill “Ridley” Bayer
began painting as a hobby in 1988. The
following year he studied with Bob Ross and became a certified instructor of Bob’s
wet on wet technique. He has since studied with many other well know
 artists developing
his own style of painting. Bill has published five instructional books
and three DVD's titled "Down
Roads... Less Traveled"
showcasing his talents.
Bill uses his middle name “Ridley”
as his signature. Ridley was also his grandfather’s name and Bill signs his paintings
in “Paps” honor. Bill and his wife Fran live in St.
Louis Mo. Their son Bill is in the United States Air Force and is
serving in England. Many of Bill’s
compositions are inspired by the beautiful countryside surrounding their home.
Bill paints in oils, acrylic and watercolor. He travels across
